Fun Sunday – Blue Bayou

Hi everyone!

This was quite the busy weekend.  We tackled a house project that has been in the plans for a while now.   Although we aren’t completely through, the bulk of the work is done.  Pictures to follow later this week!

So, that is why this post is two days late.  I normally do a Fun Friday post (sounds better, right) with a cocktail, but this week it’s coming to you on Sunday.  You can enjoy this midweek if you need to escape the heat.  It’s extremely refreshing and maybe the blueish green will make you feel cool:-)

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of ice
  • 1 1/2 oz vodka
  • 1/2 oz blue curaçao
  • 1/2 cup fresh or canned pineapple
  • 2 oz grapefruit juice
  • chunk of pineapple for garnish

Preparation

Pour the ingredients into a blender and combine until very smooth.  Pour into a chilled glass and garnish with pineapple.

    Thanks for the drink recipe I will have to give it a try! I love anything named blue bayou. A long time ago I bought this beautiful painting of a silver blue bayou along with all these cypress trees and cypress knees and I call it my own private “Blue Bayou”.
