For many people the Super Bowl is about the food and the beer. I can give you some good recommendations on food for the party, but I thought you might also like some fun cocktails for the big game. Who says you can only drink beer while watching football???
Jim and I would like to petition the NFL to move the Super Bowl to Saturday…who is with us?????
So, if you just have to have some beer on the big day, I love this Dogfish Head IPA. I have liked all the Dogfish Head beers I have tried. This is the 60 minute IPA and the 90 minute is very good, too – it is kind of pricey though.
Gameday Cocktails….
This Italian Breeze is one of our all-time favorite drinks. It’s nice and fruity and I love amaretto and pineapple juice together.
Margaritas are lots of fun and both the original and pomegranate flavors are great. Just make sure to use good Tequila! Especially if you need to go to work on Monday (which stinks by the way:-))
This French Martini is a bit more sophisticated…and it’s delicious because let’s be honest, there is not a lot of sophistication going on Super Bowl Sunday!
This Bourbon Ball will warm your tummy and it’s a nice sweet creamy drink.
Ok, so now that we have the drinks figured out we need some food…
This crab meat dip is one of my favorite snacks – and it is so simple. It is perfect on Wheat Thins….yum, love this stuff.

If you like Feta you will love this Htipiti dip. The pepperoncini’s give it some kick. Serve it with some crostini or even some tortilla chips.

Steamed Shrimp with Spicy Cocktail Sauce – nuff said.

Game Day Chili is perfect….it’s really my favorite chili. I mean what is football without Chili….or what is Chili without football??? Soo good.

If you aren’t a chili fan maybe you want some Sloppy Joe’s…these are the best – they have some great sweet spice flavor!

…and to go with your Sloppy Joe you need a good pasta salad, right?

Or maybe some potato salad?
And to finish things off let’s have something sweet….
How about some MONSTER COOKIES??????

or some Peanut Butter Paisley Brownies

Whatever you chose to eat or drink enjoy the game (and the commercials.)
And don’t be late for work on Monday (isn’t that the worst….did I mention I wish the Super Bowl was on Saturday???)!
Enjoy:-)
